We offer two different versions of the 13’ Black Viper rod. The standard MK13 has an average action typical of 13’ rods and is perfectly suited to slow-flowing rivers and lakes with typical casting ranges of 30 to 80 metres. The mellow action allows light hook-lengths to be used with confidence. The Black Viper MK13 “S” is a fast actioned, more specialist version, which provides the power for casts up to around 100m without sacrificing its fish playing action. The dynamic design of the blank does all the work on the cast - meaning less effort is required from the angler. Long casts can be achieved even by anglers less experienced at long distance casting.
